Elderly Erik Visits Christine's Grave

This is an AU in which Erik lives to be a centenarian. I like to imagine that several years after the whole opera house fiasco, he said, "Screw it, I'mma live above ground if I want to!" And then he found himself a nice house to move into and he became interested in gardening and now he has the most intricate and well-maintained garden on the block (and probably in his district). He learned to leave Christine & Raoul alone, but she was never too far from his mind.
 
The idea came to me after said she wanted to see an elderly Erik. I was gonna make him even older, like with a hunched back and cane and all, but my inner Erik told me he'd Punjab lasso me if I did it...so I spared him that fate.

Realistically, the De Chagnys would've owned a mausoleum but that wouldn't have been as poignant for my purposes. The year in the comic is 1925. Erik's wearing his False nose + Mustache combo in the 2nd pic.

I have an alternate headcanon where Christine & Raoul eloped to Sweden and died there decades later and Erik goes up every February to pay his respects to her and that's why they have such ordinary tombstones.
